Magical Maybe - When The Pope’s A Girl 

A song that will that will create a paradox with its contradicting sound and lyrics, Magical Maybe’s When The Pope’s A Girl’ is satire dressed up like a Disney-esque song. The track will sound like a good old classic pop song, until you pay attention to what’s being sung. The lyrics present a case where a Pope’s a girl, in turn trying to challenge long established societal norms, which more often than not, don’t really make sense. They do it cleverly through shimmering synths,an upbeat rhythm, rom-com like vocals. Magical Maybe considers their job done if they manage to get even one person to feel something, and you best believe they have done their job amazingly well. 

YME - Game Boy

Starting off with retro video game sounds staying true to its name, YME’s ‘Game Boy’ brings in the retro electronic music scene with modern touches. Delving into the idea of reaffirming your position within a relationship and claiming not to be a “game boy” the song is one with which you will relate to considering the present dating culture. The vocals in the song have been edited to complement the video game theme in the song, which makes the track a refreshing one, along with its fast paced beats and high energy. Uniquely produced, the song deserves a sure listen, and then more, for the fun track that it is.

Nylessira - Little Lies

Late 90s electronic music sound coming in strong, ‘Strong Lies’ by Nylessira is the song to scream your heart out to in the club with your friends. With Nylessira’s vocals so emotive that it will tug at your heartstrings and melodies so solid that you can’t help but move to, this song is what you need to feel all the emotions that need feeling. “You say you care, but your silence replies / Everytime I believe I lose more of me” perfectly echoes the feeling of not knowing where you stand in a relationship which turns into grief that tears at your heart. The song is a lyrical genius along with being a musical powerhouse, and one you’re sure to add to your list of heartbreak anthems.

Noctoscope - Caustic Disco

Smooth, soft vocals backed by an upbeat tempo featuring jumpy synths and beats, Noctoscope’s ‘Caustic Disco’ will make you feel like you’re driving through the city lights in slow motion. Featuring vocals by Elvira Mångs, Swedish electronic duo act Noctoscope have created a dreamy soundscape that you can immerse yourself in as you escape from the realities of your life. The production that features ethereal harmonies, heartbeat like beats, and shifting synths, makes for a wonderful listening experience. The track has depth to it, and is highly emotive, which is something that isn’t achieved often in electronic music, automatically making this one a must listen. 

EzipIN - Don’t Need a Hero

Reverbed synths starting off the track that immediately pull you into the song’s atmosphere, EzipIN’s ‘Don’t Need a Hero’ will liven up any room that it’s played in. Featuring emotive lyrics, the song is an empowering one, focusing on the idea that you are your own hero and you don’t need someone else to come save you. Alongside dreamy lyrics, the song also features rap verses at 2:58 minutes, bringing in a surprise before its end. 2010s electronic music scene influenced, the track might make you think of Zedd’s music. The song has it all, emotion, fun, groove, making for a perfect listening experience.
